Technology 101
This course provides a comprehensive overview of technologies available for the real estate industry. Participants will explore electronic transaction management, client relation management, electronic signatures, computer hardware and software, online document preparation and sharing, smart phones and much more.
Technology 102
This course will introduce agents to current social networking technologies and related services. After attending this course, participants will be armed with resources and case studies that will help them implement a plan for incorporating social media into their business plans. The class also discusses how the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics affects social networking activities.
Technology 103
Are you interested in applying technology to your business practices but aren’t quite sure how to get started? This course, held in the ABoR Computer Lab, builds on concepts from Technology 101 and 102 and is designed to assist REALTORS® with actual implementation of their personal technology plan. While not required, participation in Technology 101 and 102 is strongly encouraged.
What’s New and How Do I Use It?
A hands-on technology course, students will explore the newest offerings in real estate technology hardware, software and services. Attendees will learn about the latest opportunities to put technology to work in their real estate businesses and uncover ways to generate and develop leads, market listings and communicate within their sphere of influence.
Salesperson to Speilberg
Never mind postcards and printed newsletters. Move past blogs and websites! Video is the newest (and for some the scariest) approach for client communication. Learn what the public is looking for in video content from their REALTOR® and see first-hand how to incorporate video in your communication strategies. We will look at various levels of video production and the basic tools needed to embrace this newest tool right away. Participants will also be able to register for a free video camera to help get on the road to video production.

Facebook has quickly become an agents biggest potential asset and a brokers biggest potential nightmare. Learn how to set up your personal and business pages, optimally adjust your privacy settings, and avoid violations of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics and the Texas Real Estate License Act. Participants will leave with a Facebook For Real Estate Best Practice guide to use as a foundation for building their own personal and professional presence on Facebook.
e-Pro
Learn to thrive in the competitive world of online real estate. Ideal for REALTORS® who want to be more efficient, more mobile and more practical, the two-day e-Pro course will teach you to use technology to enhance your business. Upon completion, you will be able to develop a comprehensive plan to implement social media and use technology to further your business, all while saving both money and time. The first day of this course will be held in the classroom, and the second day is an online course.
ABR Advanced: e-Buyer
Assuming students have mastered personal computers and Internet basics, this course examines the concept of e-business and the structures that support it. The exploration continues with clarification on how the e-consumer and e-buyer will change the future of the real estate transaction. Additionally, this course covers the concepts of finding and acquiring an online real estate customer, determining the status of an online real estate transaction, and transitioning online and offline customers into the “For Life Model.” This e-buyer course counts as one Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) elective course, which can be applied towards earning the ABR designation.
Zipform Elite
Discover how you can use the suite of ZipForm products and technologies to complete your transactions. This course will review the similarities, differences and advantages of both the desktop and online versions of the software. Participants will also learn how to download, install and use the software.
